Community Building & Engagement Strategy for A Podcast Platform

Audry brings podcast hosts together to help them grow their audiences, meet other podcasters in their niche and find new ways to communicate.

Why Audry chose to collaborate with FairForce

Audry wanted to achieve a clear vision for the Audry Community through a collaborative approach by consulting with a community building expert.

They came to FairForce wanting a baseline for their community-building strategy including best practices on how to involve their audience/ users in the process and a framework for a continuous feedback system to keep improving the community experience.

Audry saw the value in setting up systems and strategy for their community and brand to organically evolve over time so they were a great fit for FairForce!

FairForce helped Audry to develop their community building
strategy in 2 stages

1. Community Strategy Pre-assessment Questionnaire.

This first stage involved 5 main areas:

  • Definition and vision

  • Engagement system (interaction, communication, and promotion systems) Audience analysis

  • Container system (platform strategy, in this case it was a pre-assessment of how the app will play a role in the community building process)

  • Experience design (execution, action plan, testing processes)

In this step, the Audry team came together and took some time to share and collect some thoughts on the different areas to prepare for stage 2.

2. Half-day Strategy Session.

FairForce delivered a pre-assessment sheet based on the questionnaire answers. During the half-day strategy session, we looked at the pre-assessment sheet and consulted with the team on adjustments, refinements, and further improvements.

We worked collaboratively to finalize the pre-assessment details and get to work on the actual assessment.

We worked to get clear on the following topics:

  • How the community vision and strategy will ideally accelerate business growth and facilitate product progress.

  • Ideal ROI from the community-building process and KPIs / metrics for the impact tracking process.

  • Role of users/ audience and their involvement in the community co-creation process.

  • The feedback system for the continuous improvement of the community experience.

The outcome of our work together

After the half-day strategy session, FairForce provided the team with a 30-page handbook containing the details of the vision and strategy assessment as discussed in the previous steps.

The handbook also contained a Best Practices + Engagement Strategy Sheet with an action plan and executive program to start implementing the next steps based on the Vision & Strategy. Some tools included in the plan were social media strategy, communication approach, content and communication approaches and community work in sync with product development actions.
